Regarding the ohana, Ramon had this to say (via e-mail)...

"the six of us that went to Santa Clara for the 2007 Ohana had a really good time...  We were present when Carlos received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Martial Arts, a Lamplighter Award for outstanding contributions to Martial Arts, and an Associate Professorship, of which there have only been four in the history of the American Jujitsu Institute."

Randy added,

"…also at the Ohana 2007 awards banquet, Ramon Gallegos was promoted to Yodan (4th Degree Black Belt).  Congratulations, Ramon!"
